My artist link

For my artist link I chose, Harlet Chapman. She is a local bag designer in Swansea. I have been to her studio in St Catherine Street to do some research and interviewing her. She has been started her business in bag designing since in college. She made her own fabric design using the Photoshop. She is also having her own workshop and she has been invited in many shows (bag design). I like her to be my artist link because I think it is not always be a chance to see a bag designer and I feel lucky to be invited by her personally to her studio. His dad used to be a famous artist in Wales.It was a nice meeting with her, on 31st March.

My second bag designer link is Jan Haedrich. My Flat in London bag brand is been design by her and the company is own by her husband. I like her design because it is very stylish, girlish, luxury and funky style. It makes it easy for the jet-set girlie girl to travel the world in style. Todd and Jan Haedrich are more than typical husband-and-wife entrepreneurs. Todd is a venture capitalist, and Jan, a handbag and accessories designer who graduated from Harvard. Their company My Flat in London, based in Frenchtown, N.J., is recognized as one of most unique brands in the accessories business. My Flat in London makes chic, luxury handbags targeted to the jet-set aristocrat, and sold through high-end specialty stores such as Fred Siegel and Stanley Koshak, and in ninety-one Nordstrom stores. Recent customers include Drew Barrymore, Cher, and Sandra Bullock, who will be sporting one in her upcoming Miss Congeniality 2 movie. Jan Haedrich was recently named "Handbag Designer to Watch" by Nordstrom, where customers have been known to line up for her bags.

For my artist link, I chose Takashi Murakami. He is a Japanese pop artist. His artwork is like animation, coloruful and cuteness. I really love his artwork because it is showing the funky style of art. Takashi Murakami was born 1 February 1962 in Tokyo, is a prolific contemporary Japanese artist who works in both fine arts media, such as painting, as well as digital and commercial media. He blurs the boundaries between high and low art. He appropriates popular themes from mass media and pop culture, and then turns them into thirty-foot sculptures, "Superflat" paintings, or marketable commercial goods such as figurines or phone caddies.



Murakami's style, called Superflat, is characterized by flat planes of color and graphic images involving a character style derived from anime and manga. Superflat is an artistic style that comments on otaku lifestyle and subculture



























I like this art work because it is cute and funny .It is called "Army of Mushrooms", Frank Cohen Collection, in Manchester.

Food photography


I chose Jean Cazal as my food photographer. I chose him because the way his taking the food picture is just so real and making the food looks so delicious to eat. Also he took the photo in very colourful and modern way.

Jean Cazals is a London based food photographer. He gained his BA Honours in Visual Communication at the London College of Printing. Went back to Paris to shoot reportage for the ECPA (French governmental dept.). After 2 years he returned to London to shoot portraiture for editorial, advertising & design assignments, few years later he decided to turn his lens on food & lifestyle.
He shoots from his studio based in Notting Hill when he isn’t travelling overseas for his international clients. His approach is clean, graphic and moody, based on natural light, and elegant styling & food presentation.
Jean’s time is divided between editorial, advertising and books.

I chose Andrew Prokos as my Skyline photographer link. I chose him because his photography is very beautiful and stunning colour and lighting.

Andrew Prokos is a New York City based photographer specializing in architectural, location, and fine art photography. Andrew has worked on assignments and commissions for clients in advertising, publishing, design, real estate, government, and corporate art. Andrew's photos have been widely published in magazines and corporate annuals, and are featured in printed product lines sold in the United States and Europe.

Tips for shooting food!

Usually I used flower icon to zoom in and make the photo looks better and clear. I don’t use flash if the lighting is bright or just fine. I love to take picture especially in colourful and nice shape, good wheatear and in great mood. I have found some tips how to get a good shooting from Internet, book, and people (my professional photographer friend). Enjoy your shooting! =)
1-Use colored dishes
Most non-professional art directors overlook using colored plates, service trays, glasses, etc. Color dishes do two things for you: add color to your scene and add contrast to food presentation. Imagine a black plate with a tomato and a leaf of lettuce on it. Much better than a white plate with the same items. Warning: Only do this if the colors of the dishes match (all glasses same color, all plates same color, etc.) If it looks like you picked up a hodgepodge of colored dishes at the local thrift store, it will ruin the film illusion.
2- Soft lighting makes food look good
The general rule in shooting food is that soft light makes food look good to eat, hard lighting makes it look like poison. A large, soft light source above and behind the food will take care of a majority of the food lighting. It will pop the colours and make the food look appetizing. Then you can use a small key, fill, and spot lights to call out particular dishes or food items. Hard light creates harsh shadows, which makes food look blacker/rotten. Food lighting is exactly like lighting people -- think of your desired effect.
3- Consider using food doubles
If the food shoot is going to be very long and the food needs to look perfect, you can use fake food for the long shots and the real perfect food for the close ups.
4-Separate food layers
When shooting a multi-layer food item like a hamburger, separate the layers. For example, place a solid circle (cut from cardboard or a polystyrene disposable plate) between the burger patty and the bun. This will keep the burger from sinking into the bun. Likewise, some wax paper between the tomato slice and the top of the bun will keep the bun dry.

Tips for shooting architecture
1. Set you camera's sharpness to "Hard", (or whatever its strongest sharpness setting is), if you are shooting in high-resolution jpg OR if shooting in RAW makes stronger that normal sharpness adjustment at the end of processing.
2. Don't be put off shooting during the middle of the day as you can get some great high contrast and shadow effects and many of the resulting images can make good B&Ws.
3- you may want to get up very early... often early morning has very nice light for buildings.
4 - another option is shooting at dusk, at the time when light inside and outside is perfectly balanced. This is especially useful for less charismatic buildings. Bring tripod, as light will be low.
5 - try to get a figure in the picture every now and then, it can give a sense of scale, and/or show the use of the building.
6- learns about perspective correction in photoshop.
7 - use a lens with zero distortion. Straight lines that become curved is something you don't want with architecture pictures... (but this is usually more of a problem with interiors and slightly less with exteriors.)



Tips for shooting skylines
1. Long Exposures are the Secret

2. At night time, with much less light available, the aperture needs to remain open a much longer time period (from 1/2 to 30 seconds) to accumulate the amount of light needed for a good photograph. The night time photography tip summary is:

3. Ideal Night Time Scenario
· The sky is clear with at least a 3/4 moon
· Temperature is between 45 - 80 degrees, and the weather is calm
· You can position the camera the perfect distance from your subject
· Your camera is on the tripod and ready for the shot
· With the small flashlight you always have in your camera bag, switch the camera mode to the equivalent of "Night Scene" mode
· Set the focus to "Manual," and set it to infinity.
· You trip the shutter with a remote shutter release or self-timer






Introduction

For my exam unit, I chose to take photos of measurement, texture, and colour celebration photography. I am very interested in measurement, colour and texture photography because I like something with the sense of humour. Our life would be bored without colourful world.

In this unit, I would like show how important the colour and texture into our life and how much it gives us inspiration and stunning mind from the photography. I am going to do research about my photographer’s link and some others tips, which might be able to give me inspiration and some help in photography.

I am going to do shooting in most every place that I will go. Usually I bring my camera everywhere and everyday I go. I am planning to do shooting in Swansea town, Central London, Botanical Park and beach near by my house.

I don’t really use much props because I don’t needs to do so. I just bring camera as usual.

Hopefully, my photography work will inspire people and make people feel more appreciated the colour and texture around us! =)

The extent to which the Conservative Party is Undemocratic

Democracy means the political orientation of those who favor government by the people or by their elected representatives. Democracy is very important role in politics because it will give more freedom and choice to people in a country. Democracy is well defined as the government by people, for the people and of the people. This concept was first motivated by Abraham Lincoln in 1860's. Albeit, concept was there, but it got its real shape in 1860. He was off the view that people should be free of other people as their freedom is their birth right. No body is allowed to get to their freedom. Democracy can be more valued if we go for its plus points. No doubt, it is a positive thing with countless plus points. It is a direct help for all kinds of communities and groups. It is a thing which is needed for us. We cannot pass the politics without democracy as time has been changed. Nowadays we don't go for the older methods of ruling governments. People are important round the globe. They are allowed to say their say without hesitation and fear. Pertemuaan di FUIYO menggamit sejuta hati! Perjalan dari Swansea selama 6 jam tak sia-sia. Kepenatan dari kesesatan bermusafir berakhir selama 4 hari di Telford.
Pertemuaan demi pertemuaan. Bertemu sang comel Solehah & Khalil, dan si cilik 2 dara, Kak Long & Kak ngah, anak auntie Na (isteri UZAR) menjadikan penat itu hilang. UZAR telah menjadi penceramah untuk kami peserta FUIYO.

Sudah lama rasanya tidak Jiha mendengar ceramah dari penceramah Melayu Muslim. Dulu waktu kecil rajinlah pergi ceramah PAS.Sampai digigit nyamuk.Haha.
Tapi ceramah-ceramah yang Jiha hadir sejak kecil lagilah, membuatkan Jiha cuba memahami erti hidup dan politik.

Ada satu sesi ceramah tentang politik by ustaz Mazlee. Agak berat sampai tercelik pejam mata Jiha. Maaf bukan niat mahu tidur, cuma agak keletihan. Lain pula di pihak Tampan, semua macam semangat jek..Solehah semua kepejaman mataan! Tapi sangat menarik ceramah itu!

Hos majlis FUIYO, Jo dan Cha memang gempak habes.Memang ada bakat jadi hos sebab nak jadi hos kena pandai berkomunikasi dan emosi yang menarik!

Video2 yang dipilih pun sangat menyentuh hati dan bermotivasi.
Lagu tema Palestine dimulai dengan kata-kata ucapan oleh Dr. Abdel Aziz al-Rantissi pula di bunuh oleh tentera zionis. Beliau hanya sempat menggantikan Sheikh Ahmad Yassin selama beberapa minggu sahaja. Lulusan doktor dalam bidang paediatrik, beliau sungguh popular dengan kata-kata yang berikut;

Introduction.

For this theme, I would like to research and finding more about Islam and Islamic art. Basically they are about my feelings about Islam and Islamic art. I was born as a Muslim girl. I am growing up in Islamic background and community; also I am living in non-Muslim country, United Kingdom.

From Islam and also movement every step of my life as a Muslim girl, I would like to learn and teach and remind more about Islam to myself. I want to mirror myself as a Muslim girl. I made so much sins and mistakes. I want this art theme make me up and wake me up from every bad manner to good manner.

Islam is a religion of community. Islam is a universal religion. Islam teaches ummah (people) to be a good person to the Lord, Allah S.W.T. , to the Prophet Muhammad and others Prophet, to parents, to teachers, to friends, to community, and to everyone and everywhere.

Also, Islam is not just about religion. Islam was and still got very good Islam art design, architecture, music, dance and calligraphy. Every each Islamic art were designed by the Muslims architects since hundreds million years ago. From the mosque, palaces, dressing, and the way of life, Islam just so perfect for people.

♥ Sudah berzaman rasanya tidak ku jejak kaki ke kampung halaman Lampeter. Last week, tumpang kereta auntie Zu yang baru pulang bercuti dari kota Paris.Uw..beshnye! =)) Terima kasih Uncle and auntie.Disebabkan dah berbulan tak ziarah Lampeter,perjalanan rasa jauh dan pening kepala rasanya.Tapi Jiha suka sangat balik Lampeter.Macam balik rumah embah(nenek) pulak =D

♥ Lampeter itulah nama tempat terletaknya University Of Wales.Universiti ke-2 (tak silap) tertua di Britain. Lampeter sejuk bila masuk musim sejuk dan selalunya salji turun dahulu di Lampeter (dari Swansea). Lampeter memang ramai sangat veteran (orang Welsh). Baik dan peramah orangnya "Hello..how are you? " Itu sapaan mereka walaupun tak kenal.

♥ Esok (Ahad), ada barbecue. Enjoy banget dengan semua orang. Jiha sempat lukis sikit potrait.Tapi rasanya potrait yang Jiha lukis ini agak kelako.Potrait ayah la susah sebab rambutnya!

♥ Kesimpulan barbecue ini bukan sekadar mahu makan dan kenyang sahaja.Yang paling banget pentingnya sillaturahim.Ziarah bukan nak mamam eh.Ziarah mahu merapatkan hubungan kita.Secara personal,Jiha kurang suka cara orang putih bab berkawan.Sekali gaduh,selalu sangat clash macam itu sahaja. Sillaturahim itu tidak wujud dalam dunia masyarakat mereka.Sepertimana yang diajari oleh Islam.

Paman ini jarang nak ambek gambar so Jiha terlupa nak ambek pic dia waktu di Malaysia last year.Gambar(yang pakai baju merah) ni pun, sepupu punya.Hehehe.Paman ini kaki sakat oowh.Sabar je odeng.Jiha paling suka cakap dengan Azah yang kecik si rambut kerinting.Kelakar je! ^*^

Ini paman Shaari.Dia kahwin dengan bibik Khamidah @ Ami (adik ayah yang ke-5). Paman inilah paling selamba je kalau bagi jawapan.Tapi jawapan jujur dan lurus.Kelakar secara tak langsung kalau dengar paman Shaari bagi jawapan atau soalan.Paman ini pun kurang sket ambek gambar.Nasib baik ini ada.Gambar ini pun nampak sisi je.Paman Shaari pun baru je dapat cahaya mata.Insyirah!Dengar cerita Insyirah ini comel banget.Jiha tak tahu lagi wajah si Insyirah ini..adoi..asyik "missed" saja kalau cousin baru lahir.

Ini paman Hanif.Dia kahwin dengan bibik Aini Shakirah @ Aini (adik ayah yangke-6). Jiha kurang kenal paman Hanif ini sebab dia baru kahwin dengan bibik Aini lebih kurang 1 tahun setengah.So..no comment :D

Yang erti doanya: "Ya Allah, aku berlindung dengan ridhaMu dari murkaMu, berlindung dibawah naunganMu; ringkasnya aku berlindung kepadaMu daripadaMu. Tiada terhitung puja-pujiku untukMu. Engkau sebagaimana pujianMu atas diriMu sendiri."

Death & Us

Last week,15th June 2009, my Mexican best friend,Alejandro died in car crush in Mexico. I was so shocked and upset.For me its hard to believe it because I just met him a couple weeks ago before he went back to Mexico. =,( He was a great friend.I was hoping that we will see again.Someday maybe.. Last Friday,18th June 2009, we had a special assembly for him.I spoke as his good friend.I will remember him as my best friend. Today,I am moving on from sadness.I cried so much.Actually there is no more point to cry.He won`t back.Maybe he watching me from "somewhere". I believe, he don`t like to leave me and his family and friends members with the tears.I really hope that I can be strong.Everyone will die.Death is the nearest thing around us.Death is unexpected.

And they say, “There is not but our worldly life; we die and live (i.e. some people die and others live, replacing them) and nothing destroys us except time.” And they have of that no knowledge; they are only assuming. And when Our verses are recited to them as clear evidences, their argument is only that they say, “Bring [back] our forefathers, if you should be truthful.” Say, “God causes you to live, then causes you to die; then He will assemble you for the Day of Resurrection, about which there is no doubt,” but most of the people do not know. (Quran, 45:24-26)
Surely God will raise all the dead. But God has His own plan of things. A day will come when the whole universe will be destroyed and then the dead will be resurrected to stand before God. That day will be the beginning of a life that will never end, and on that day every person will be rewarded by God according to his or her good or evil deeds.

janganlah menangis sayang

a.Rindu pada teman Jepun saya, Shiho, masih ada lagi.Semalam dan hari ini, saya menangis merindui teman-teman (exchange students) kerna mereka semuanya sudah pulang ke tanah air mereka.

b.Shiho,teman yang dah lama saya kenal tapi saya tidak pernah rapat dengannya.Hinggalah minggu-minggu terakhir bersama Shiho,kami menjadi rapat tak semena-mena

a.Pada suatu hari, kami pergi ke laut berdekatan rumah.Itu kali ke-2 kami keluar bersama.Hari itu mentari cerah panas sekali.Shiho meminjam jubah hitam saya untuk menutup kepala dan mukanya yang panas dek matahari.Dia sungguh selesa.Bilangnya,saya pasti berasa lebih selesa memakai tudung kerana tidak merasa panas seperti yang dia rasa.

b.Pada petangnya,kami pergi ke masjid.Dia memakai baju gaun putih dan tudung ungu saya.Dia kelihatan cantik sekali.Adik saya terduduk terkejut melihat dia memakai tudung.Dia begitu seronok memakai begitu.Selesa dan dia sendiri terkejut melihat dirinya bertudung.

c.Pada malam itu tanpa dirancang,Shiho tidur dirumah saya.Kami tidur lambat.Bercerita banyak.Kami makan makanan Malaysia.Dia makan sahaja makanan Malaysia.Dia suka makanan Malaysia.Kari!

a.Dia sesat dari bermain.Dia mahu singgah di rumah saya.Dia bermalam lagi dirumah saya kerna kepenatan
b.Kami kemas dan membersihkan backyard.Esoknya la..
b.Kami ke sekolah.Dia memakai tudung merah dan skirt putih saya.Dia suka pakaian saya.Saya membenarkan dia memakai apa sahaja pakaian dari almari saya.

a.Kami ajak dia bermalam lagi di rumah kami sebelum dia pulang ke Jepun.Kami ke masjid.Berjumpa dengan Syeikh Mohsein.Saya pernah kenalkan Shiho pada oranng di Masjid ( yg kenal saya je la)
b.Kami bercerita lagi.Ada kisah dan air mata Shiho.Sayalah sahabat yang pertama yang dia luahkan ceritanya.
c.Dia boleh pakai,makan dan minum apa sahaja yang dia mahu.

a.Kami berlari-lari ke sekolah.LEWAT tapi masih GELAK2!
b.Diana dan Rina pun mahu pulang.Kami berpelukan dan menangis.
b.Petang itu kami berjumpa di Fulton House,Swansea Uni.Kami berpelukan dan nangis.

Tempoh persahabatan kami begitu singkat.Hanya beberapa minggu sahaja kami menjadi rapat.Dari tawa hinggalah nangis.Dari skirt putih dan tudung ungu milik saya,telah menjadi milik SHiho.Dari Alhamdullilah,Bismillah,Assalamualaikum,Syukran, itulah bahasa yang saya ajarkan pada Shiho. Saya solat pun dia ikut sekali

a.Sebelum ke sekolah,saya called Shiho.Kami merindui sesama sendiri.
b.Saya pulang sekolah,saya teringat baru semalam saya dan SHiho lari2 bersama di jalan yang yang saya lalui.
c.Saya tidur dikatil saya dan masih ingat bau shampoo kegemarannya.Masih lekat di bantal.Saya pun menangis lagi..


Dia sungguh terharu, dan selesa dengan layanan keluarga saya.Hingga sekarang,saya masih rindukan Shiho.Saya dengar lagu "Big Girls Don`t cry" agar saya kuat.Doa saya moga hatinya terbuka untuk masuk Islam.Amin.
Saya sayang Shiho dan Diana dan Rina.Ini hari pertama kami keluar bersama.Hari Lahir saya-21 Mei 1991.

Guru sebagai mu'allim, mengajar dan mengembangkan ilmu serta menjayakannya dalam masyarakat - satu usaha suci dan mulia. Dengan itu, kemuliaan kedudukan guru dalam sejarah dan masyarakat Islam terjamin. Sikap memuliakan guru dan ilmu pengetahuan oleh umat Islam mendapat sanjungan tinggi daripada Franz Rosenthal dalam bukunya Knowledge Triumphant. Beliau berpendapat sukar untuk dicari peradaban seperti Islam yang memuliakan ilmu pengetahuan dan guru. Kedudukan mulia diberikan kepada guru, walaupun mereka bukan berstatus ulama.

Saya tahu saya lewat untuk ucapkan Selamat Hari Guru.

Opick-Taubat

Lagu ini benar membuatkan aku berfikir hatiku yang sering sengaja buta dari dosa.Taubat nasuhah masih belum tiba ke destinasi.Dosa yang seringkali dikesali namun diulangtayang semula.Kenapa aku begitu lemah,,Ya Tuhanku.
Di usia kecil,aku bertanya,kenapa manusia tidak ikut sahaja apa yang disuruh dan apa yang dilarang oleh Tuhan?Aku pun tidak tahu dosa dan pahala.Kini,ku ngerti,syaitan itu musuh.Aku tahu dosa dan pahala.Namun,yang benar memusuhiku adalah diriku sendiri.Ada sebenak benci pada diri atas keengkaran demi keengkaran.Aku ingin kembali pada dunia budak.Dunia yang tidak tahu dosa dan pahala kerna usia yang comel.Ampunkanlah aku.Moga aku diberi taubat yang sebenar benar dari hati.Sungguh,Tuhan Maha Pemurah.
